CardConnectPartner Description

CardConnect, founded in 2006 and now part of Fiserv, is a full-service payment technology provider that allows businesses to securely accept and manage credit cards, debit cards, and virtual terminal payments across online, in-store, and mobile channels. Vivenu is integrated with its flagship platform, CardPointe, offering a suite of API gateway tools, physical terminals, tokenization, and point-to-point encryption (CardSecure) to ensure easy integration, robust security, and centralized transaction reporting.

Before You Begin

1. You must have an existing account with Cardpoint/Card Connect.

2. Remember, there are three key players: Card Connect, Card Point, and Fiserv. Card Point terminals run through the Card Connect gateway.

Step 1: Terminal Activation (Crucial!)

1. Contact Card Connect: Reach out to CardConnect to activate your terminals.

2. Confirm Activation: Terminals must be activated to get the necessary keys. Get confirmation that they are properly registered.

3. Receive Terminals: Your terminals will be sent out by the entity your account is linked to (Card Connect, Card Point, or Fiserv). You are not able to proceed with step 2 until you have received your terminals.

Step 2: Gather Your Information

1. Ensure Correct Merchant Account: Double-check that you have the right merchant account.

2. Collect Credentials:

   1. Terminal Site Key

   2. API Key

   3. Username & Password: Confirm your username and password.

   4. Merchant ID: This ID is linked to the username and password of that specific Card Connect account. Please make sure they match.

Step 3: Enter Information in vivenu

1. In vivenu, go to Settings > Payment Gateways > Create.

2. Enter the Terminal Site Key.

3. Input the API Key (your API key is sensitive information. Please request it from CardConnect at Terminal activation.)

4. Add your Username and Password.

5. Enter the Merchant ID.
